Tear trough filler in North Shields

Tear trough filler softens hollowing under the eyes, the shadow that can make you look tired even after a good night's sleep.

The under-eye area is delicate and not everyone is a good candidate, so treatment starts with a careful assessment. If puffiness, fluid or eye bags are the main issue, filler can make things look worse, and I'll tell you. If thin or crepey skin is your main concern rather than hollowness, Jalupro® Young Eye may suit you better.

Timeline

What to expect, day by day

The under-eye area bruises more easily than most. Allow at least two weeks before a big event.

  1. Day 1

Hollows look softer straight away. Some swelling and bruising are common here.

  2. Day 3

Bruising may look more noticeable before it fades. Sleeping slightly propped up helps swelling settle.

  3. Day 7

    Most swelling has settled.

  4. Day 14

A good time for a review.

  5. Final result

    Fully settled at four weeks.

FAQs

Questions, answered honestly

Am I a good candidate for tear trough filler?

It works best for true hollowing under the eyes with reasonably good skin quality. It is usually not the right choice if puffiness, fluid retention or prominent eye bags are the main problem. Suitability is assessed carefully, and sometimes the honest answer is no.

Is it safe?

All filler carries risks, and the eye area needs particular care because of the blood vessels nearby. That's why assessment and technique matter, and why you'll know exactly what to watch for afterwards and how to reach me.

Can filler under the eyes look blue?

Occasionally, if filler sits too close to the surface it can give a bluish tinge, known as the Tyndall effect. Careful placement makes this unlikely, and hyaluronic acid filler can be dissolved if needed.

How long does it last?

Often 9 to 18 months, and sometimes longer, because the area moves less than the lips.

Is there an alternative?

For thin or crepey under-eye skin, Jalupro® Young Eye (£225 per session) improves skin quality without adding volume. It is sometimes used instead of, or alongside, filler.
